Keywords help our algorithm identify articles that correspond to a physician's interests. Many journals include keywords which are suggested by the author of the article. Since the author of the article is an expert in his or her area of study, keywords listed in the journal article itself are the best. Usually if a journal includes keywords in the article, they will be listed near the abstract.
Some journals don't include keywords in the article. For these journals, try to come up with medical terms (keywords) from your understanding of the article. For some articles, we will try to suggest some keywords (you will see these in the keyword entry screen) but these can be somewhat hit-and-miss as they are computer generated, so use these with caution.
